DENSO Warranty Information

The following is a summary of manufacturer warranty terms. This summary in no way modifies or supersedes the original terms.

DENSO Sales California, Inc. (“DENSO”) warrants to the end user that the DENSO First Time Fit® Brand Aftermarket Products, described below, shall be free of defects in materials and workmanship and will function in accordance with DENSO’s published specifications, under ordinary intended use and service, for a period of twelve (12) months / unlimited miles after delivery to the end-user.

This warranty does not cover defects or malfunctions, which result from causes beyond DENSO’s control, including, without limitation, (i) unusual physical or electrical stress; (ii) accident, neglect, abuse, misuse or other abnormal use; (iii) failure to perform routine maintenance in accordance with specific vehicle manufacturer’s recommended procedures; (iv) normal wear and tear; (v) Product repairs or attempted Product repairs by an unauthorized person; (vi) alterations or modifications to the Product; or (vii) improper servicing. This warranty shall extend only to the original end-user and shall be void if any labels or other identifying marks, permanently affixed to Products when shipped from DENSO, are removed, altered, defaced or obliterated.

Excluded from this warranty are Products which are subject to normal wear and tear, such as filters, ignition wires, oxygen sensors, spark plugs, wiper blades, etc.

WARRANTABLE PRODUCTS

• Air Conditioning System: Evaporator, Compressor, Compressor Clutch, Condenser
• Engine Cooling System: Radiator
• Fuel Delivery System: Fuel Injector, Fuel Pump Assembly, Fuel Pump, Fuel Sending Unit
• Ignition System: Direct Ignition Coil (C.O.P.)
• Rotating Electrical: Alternator, Starter
• Other: Mass Air Flow Sensor

To validate the claim and to confirm the Product is within the warranty period, proof of purchase, in the form of a purchase receipt (or copy), repair order (or copy) or other documentation may be required. Failure to supply all of the requested information on the form below may result in processing delays or the rejection of the warranty claim.

PRODUCT GROUP A: To determine claim eligibility, MANDATORY return is required for all Products in Group A. These claimed failed Products must be made available and shipped to Sixity Auto, for claim validation, at the time of warranty claim submittal. Includes: Air Conditioning System: Evaporator, Compressor, Compressor Clutch, Condenser; Ignition System: Direct Ignition Coil (C.O.P.); Rotating Electrical: Alternator, Starter; Other: Mass Air Flow Sensor

PRODUCT GROUP B: The claimed failed Products identified in this Group B will be retained by the Distributor for a period of ninety (90) days after the date of replacement and will be made available to DENSO for claim validation, if requested by DENSO during this period. Includes Engine Cooling System: Radiator; Fuel Delivery System: Fuel Injector, Fuel Pump Assembly, Fuel Pump, Fuel Sending Unit. If, at the end of the ninety (90) day retention period, DENSO has not made a request for the return of any of the products in this Group B, the Distributor will properly scrap or dispose of the products according to local environmental regulations.

Warranty claims must be submitted within thirty (30) days of the repair or replacement.

SHIPMENT OF RETURNED WARRANTY PRODUCT

• Compressors: All returned compressors must have the shipping plates attached. Claims on compressors returned without the shipping plates securely affixed will be denied.
• Radiators: All returned radiators must be drained and sealed.
• Fuel Pumps and Injectors: Fuel pumps and or filters and injectors are considered to be hazardous materials once exposed to the fuel. Transportation of such items is under the jurisdiction of the Federal Department of Transportation (DOT) Regulations 49 CFR 173.4 for shipping a limited quantity of dangerous goods (residual gasoline). DENSO SALES CALIFORNIA, INC. (“DENSO”) warrants its DENSO Brand Spark Plugs Products only to the extent stated in its official written warranties. Unless otherwise specifically provided in writing by DENSO, DENSO warrants to the end-user that the Products shall be free of defects in materials or workmanship and will function in accordance with DENSO’s published specifications, under ordinary intended use and service, for a period of twelve (12) months or twelve thousand (12,000) miles, whichever occurs first, after delivery to the end-user. DENSO shall replace any defective Product covered by this warranty.

This warranty does not cover defects or malfunctions which result from causes beyond DENSO’s control, including, without limitation, (i) unusual physical or electrical stress; (ii) accident, neglect, abuse, misuse or other abnormal use; (iii) failure to perform routine maintenance in accordance with specific vehicle manufacturer’s recommended procedures; (iv) normal wear and tear; (v) Product repairs or attempted Product repairs by an unauthorized person; (vi) modifications or alterations to the Products; or (vii) improper servicing. This warranty shall extend only to the original end-user and shall be void if any labels or other identifying marks permanently affixed to Products when shipped by DENSO are removed, altered, defaced or obliterated.

This Warranty Does Not Cover:

• Cost of labor to remove or install the product.
• Products installed for racing applications.
