Trucks and SUVs are more likely to have leaf springs straddling the rear axles. Keeping all the leaves together are center-bolts. Leaves connect to the frame via leaf spring hangers and shackles and work with other parts in independent suspension assemblies such as wishbone bushings to offer the required cushioning and articulation across different road surfaces.
